General Permanent Jewelry FAQ’s
Where is your studio located?
We offer the Permanent Jewelry at our creative studio located in the Reston, VA . We also offer Pop Ups events with a selection of our jewelry, throughout the Northern Virginia and Washington, DC region.
Does it hurt?
Not at all! Permanent jewelry is a painless & safe process of welding the metal to you while we create a sized-to-fit unique piece of jewelry, whether it’s a bracelet, anklet or necklace.
Can I ever take it off?
Yes! Your jewelry can be easily removed with scissors at the welding point.
How long does it last?
Your permanent jewelry can last weeks, months, years - as long as you want! Keep in mind, while welded Permanent Jewelry is meant for everyday wear, it is still fine jewelry and not invincible. In the case of breaks, we do offer bonded repairs at a low cost. Our permanent jewelry is guaranteed for one week after your welding.
What chains do you have available?
We have a wide selection of either gold filled jewelry and luxury 14k gold jewelry available, sou will find something you love!
We also have a smaller selection of sterling silver chains, rose gold and white gold chains. Speciality chains can be custom ordered before your permanent jewelry party or appointment to proper ensure stock is available.
Can I customize my piece?
Yes, we love to see you creativity! You may opt for just a personal chain, or customized your permanent jewelry with one of our charms or permanent connectors. We also have a Design Your Own Jewelry selection of clasped jewelry necklaces, bracelets and anklets for easy removal and our younger guests.
X-Rays + MRI’s + TSA
Your jewelry is safe to go through TSA with! We recommend that you speak with your doctor and ask if you will need to remove you permanent jewelry during your X-ray or MRI appointment. Often clients have not been required to remove their permanent jewelry, but that is up to the discretion of your doctor.
If you are required to remove your permanent jewelry for surgery or other reasons, simply cut the jump ring and store everything including the jump ring in a zip-lock bag. We will gladly re-weld it on you for our $25 service fee . Just send us a message or book a re-welding appointment when you are ready to re-weld your piece back on.
Gifting + Gift Cards
Permanent jewelry and design your own jewelry makes a great gift! We offer gift cards and pre-ordered pre-paid pieces to satisfy all your unique gift ideas.
What if I change my mind?
All sales are final, once we custom fit, cut the chain and place it on you for welding.
Event & Hosting FAQ’s
Can I host a private party?
Yes! We offer private jewelry parties as on location events, as well of rental of our jewelry studio for in-studio parties.
For private on location events, a minimum of 6 guests are required. Setup and travel fees may apply depending on your party size or location.
A deposit and signed contract is required to reserve a private party date. Deposits are non-refundable, however can be transferable to in studio Golden Bond booking or future events if proper notice of reschedule request or cancellation is given. Reschedules or cancellations must be made at least two-weeks prior to your scheduled event, or your deposit will be forfeited.
Can I create a custom jewelry chain for my group?
Yes! We love unique gifts and jewelry that tells a story.
To make your event extra special, we can work with you create a one of a kind bracelet, necklace or anklet with a custom design charm or connector. This is are particularly great way to make your bridesmaid gifts, wedding events or corporate parties unforgettable.
White Gold + Rose Gold + Sterling Silver
While the Golden Bond specializes in gold-filled and 14k gold chains, we do offer sterling silver white gold chains through out fine jewelry supplier. We do not currently stock Rose Gold, however we can order rose gold chains for events of 8 or more.

Personal Gems + Jewels Additions
Custom gem connectors or charms can be reserved for your event chains, while giving your guests the option of a simple chain or a more intricate piece.
